Meet Our Staff

Shauna Reiley:

Shauna Reiley

Shauna Reiley is a graduate of Texas State and joined Livens & Reed in 2019. She is a highly experienced and proficient paralegal who handles several of the Medicaid cases that come through the Addison office. She is passionate about her work where she is able to help clients through difficult times and enjoys upholding the stellar reputation of the firm.

Before her start at Livens & Reed, Shauna oversaw the Medicaid operations at Texas Health and Human Services as a case worker and supervisor.

Off the clock, Shauna enjoys spending time with loved ones, attending sporting events and watching movies. She has one boy, one girl, one grandson, and two schnauzers.

Natasha King:

Natasha King

Natasha King holds a Bachelor of Science in paralegal studies from Texas Wesleyan University and has dedicated several years of legal work to fighting for those in need. Initially, she found her passion in family courts, where she assisted victims of domestic violence through her position at SafeHaven of Tarrant County.

She shifted her career in the direction of elder law by joining the Livens & Reed team putting her skills toward helping the aging community get the Medicaid help they desperately need. After assisting thousands of families over the years, Natasha finds great joy in knowing she is able to make such an impact on the lives of others.

On the weekend, Natasha attends Sunday service with her husband and daughter where she sings in the choir and teaches preschool bible classes. She also enjoys playing with her dog, Jack, and watching Texas Longhorns Football.

Nicole Landrum:

Nicole Landrum

Nicole Landrum is an accomplished senior paralegal who began her career in 2008 after studying business at the University of Texas at San Antonio. With fourteen years of experience in the profession, her involvement has ranged from bankruptcy cases in the eastern, western, and northern districts of Texas to court assistance within the criminal defense sector.

Prior to Livens & Reed, she prepared, filed and served discovery responses as well as reviewed medical records as a personal injury paralegal dealing with motor vehicle accidents, premises liability and products liability cases.

While working at Livens & Reed, Nicole has widened her legal knowledge to even greater lengths and feels blessed in her ability to save her clients the money they worked for their whole lives.

Her life outside the office consists of fun family activities such as sporting events, sight seeing, and trying new restaurants with her husband and three boys. Her favorite quote is, “she doesn’t watch and wish, she works and prays!”

Michelle Landrum:

Michelle Landrum

Michelle Landrum was raised in the small town of Poolville, Texas. After high school, she enrolled in Westwood College to study human medicine and later switched to a veterinary background, ultimately obtaining a Veterinary Technician Certification.

Down the road, she decided to move into the legal field and accepted a secretarial position at Ross & Matthews. There, she discovered her calling to improve the lives of others through the legal process and gained valuable skills, such as preparing legal documents, coordinating appointments, and facilitating referrals.

In 2021, Michelle became a member of the Livens & Reed family, seeking knowledge in a new area of law which she found to be an exciting and rewarding endeavor. Her favorite part about this line of work is alleviating the stress of clients by ensuring she does everything she can to get them the help they deserve.

At home, Michelle finds enjoyment in time spent with her husband and three children doing outdoor activities like camping, hosting cookouts with friends, and watching the kiddos compete in their sports. She also has a golden retriever named Kona, after her family’s favorite vacation destination.

Nickie Rainwater-Biddy:

Nickie Rainwater-Biddy

Nickie Rainwater-Biddy joined Livens & Reed in January 2010. She is a Medicaid/VA consultant, community liaison, and the Case Manager for the firm.

She assists our clients with Medicaid planning and VA Benefits. She has personally assisted thousands of families with governmental benefits.

Prior to joining our firm, she worked in administration for long-term care facilities. Working with the elderly has always been her passion. She is blessed with two daughters that keep her busy. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and children.

Lindsey Reed:

Lindsey Reed

Lindsey Reed was raised in Grapevine, Texas. She joined Livens & Reed in 2006 and manages the firm’s probate cases and estate planning documents. She is also the human resource director, funding coordinator and accountant.

Lindsey is passionate about helping clients through probate, wanting to make the process as comfortable as possible. Having gone through the same when she lost both her parents, she knows how difficult settling the affairs of a passed loved one can be.

Lindsey graduated from Texas Tech University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science. She holds a degree in retail with a minor in general business.

She met her husband, Chad Reed, while attending Texas Tech and they were married in 2006. In 2020, Lindsey and Chad welcomed a baby girl. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, hunting, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends and playing with her dog, Ava Grace.

Susie McKinzie:

Susie McKinzie

Susie McKinzie is the firm’s head marketer and has been with Livens & Reed since 2013. She visits numerous nursing and assisted living facilities east of Tarrant County spanning from the Sherman-Denison area to Dallas, Waxahachie, Greenville, Rowlett and Rockwall.

Susie cherishes the opportunity to educate people about Medicaid and VA Aid & Attendance. She strongly believes in an elder’s right to protect their assets and that these two forms of assistance are of great importance in protecting that right.

Additionally, she values the fact that Livens & Reed has never lost a case, despite handling over 400 a year, and is proud of her role in helping maintain that accomplishment.

Before 2013, Susie had retired from AT&T Yellow Pages and owned a magazine publishing company. However, she could not stand retirement and called the firm’s founder, Steve Livens, who gave her a job right away. Over the years, she has established a network of relationships and connections with people who are also in the business of helping the elderly. She plans to never retire.

Lane Williams:

Lane Williams

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Lane Williams joined Livens & Reed in 2019 as a legal assistant and client coordinator. She has always been interested in working for a law firm and providing peace of mind for the elderly.

During her childhood, her stepfather’s job required her family to travel a great deal. This allowed her the opportunity to live in several places including Miami, Shanghai, Brussels, and Belgium.

Eventually, her family returned to St. Louis, and she went on to graduate from Northwest Missouri State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations.

Prior to joining the firm, Lane worked as an admissions coordinator, supporting the educational passions of students at Logan University in St. Louis.

In her free time, Lane enjoys shopping and spending time with her boyfriend and daughter. She plans to vacation in a new location once a year.

Susanna Braziel:

Susanna Braziel

Susanna Braziel started working at Livens & Reed in August 2019 as a client coordinator. She earned an Associate degree and has been trained in paralegal work during her time at the firm. She now works as a paralegal assistant to Nicole Landrum.

Previously, she was the assistant to a pediatric dentist, but she later found a desire to transition into the legal field.

Susanna is highly motivated by the joy she brings to clients. Her favorite part about her line of work is helping families get their loved ones the assistance they need through Medicaid without placing a financial burden on the family. .

In her spare time, Susanna works on art projects, spends time with her boyfriend, and plays with her Lab Catahoula mix, Samson. She also has an interest in writing.

Beau Anderson:

Beau Anderson

Beau Anderson is a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Throughout his time at the University of Oklahoma, he took on several roles as a volunteer with various philanthropy events and worked as a sportswriter for the OU Daily, a student-run newspaper.
After graduating, he moved to Dallas to pursue a legal career.

At Livens & Reed, he works as a legal assistant to attorneys Shawn Crawford and Chad Reed, specializing in the preparation of estate planning documents and the filing of Probate cases.

Beau is a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, travel enthusiast, and avid reader.

Caleigh Merchen:

Caleigh Merchen

Caleigh Merchen first started her career with paralegal training at Texas Christian University and went on to work under a Criminal Defense Attorney as an executive assistant. She has thrived in the legal field for nine years continuing to perfect her skills to the highest levels.

In 2018, she sought to transition into a larger work environment and found her home with the Livens & Reed family as a legal assistant to Attorney Shawn Crawford. She handles a majority of estate planning and probate cases that come into the firm.

Caleigh loves working with the elderly and being able to offer clients tips they did not know they needed about their future planning. She values the knowledge she has gained about elder law and plans to use it toward helping her own family when the time comes.

When she is not helping clients, Caleigh enjoys baking, camping, playing boardgames and going out to eat with her husband and daughter. She has a lab named Gracie, a cat named Otis, and a Texas Rat Snake named Ghost. Her interests include true crime, history, and makeup.

Voula Crawford:

Voula Crawford

Voula Crawford joined the firm in 2022 and works as a client coordinator at the front desk of the Bedford office.

She enjoys interacting with clients and being the first to assist them the moment they walk in. Prior to Livens & Reed, she worked at a hometown bank.

Voula is married and has two children, a son and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
